North by North Main Street Music Festival: Where It All Began

On May 16, 2026, we opened the doors to our very first community music festival, the North by North Main Street Music Festival, and Bryan showed up. More than 500 people came out to downtown Bryan for a full day of live music that was completely free and open to the public.

It was our first real passion project, and it changed how we see our work.

A Stage Built From Local Talent

Every performer on the bill called the Brazos Valley home. More than 60 local musicians took the stage, including 10 local bands and 10 local singer-songwriters. Some have held down Bryan's music scene for years. Others were playing for a crowd that size for the very first time. All of them brought it.

We built the lineup this way on purpose. Our community is full of incredible talent, and too often the only thing missing is a stage and an audience. For one day, North Main Street gave them both.

Free, Because Music Belongs to Everyone

We never considered charging admission. Ticket prices quietly decide who gets to experience live music and who gets left out. Keeping the North by North Main Street Music Festival free meant families, students, longtime locals and first-time visitors could share the same space and the same songs.

500 Reasons to Keep Going

We hoped people would come. We did not expect more than 500 of them. Watching that crowd grow all day, cheering for artists they had never heard before, proved something we've always believed: Bryan is hungry for live, local music, and it shows up when you give it the chance.

Where Our Mission Began

The North by North Main Street Music Festival is when our mission came into focus. Putting on a free festival for hundreds of people took a lot of heart, help and resources. It showed us how much more is possible when a community rallies behind its artists. That's what led us to commit fully to our mission and start building Tilted Fuzz Collective as a nonprofit, so we can keep live music free, pay local artists fairly, and bring music and art to more people across the Brazos Valley, including the next generation.

Thank You

To every musician who played, everyone who helped behind the scenes, Blackwater Draw for being an incredible partner, and every person who showed up: thank you. You made our first festival unforgettable, and you're the reason we're building something bigger.

This is only the beginning. Want to help keep live music free? Get involved or contribute now.
